Ocean Institute Home Raffle Enters
Final Month, Over 90% of Tickets Sold
DANA POINT, CA, September 24, 2008 -
The Ocean Institute's 2008 Laguna Beach Million Dollar Home Raffle (see www.ocean-institute.org) has entered its final month before the Wednesday, October 22 final deadline to purchase tickets with over 90% of its 20,000 tickets sold. The Grand Prize is a Laguna Beach home valued at $1.2 million or $1 million in cash, plus over 175 cash and merchandise prizes. The Grand Prize drawing will be held November 8, 2008 at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point.
"Hope is still alive and well in Orange County," remarked Greg Goggin, Director of Special Projects for Ocean Institute. "Despite the problems in the national economy, we've now sold more tickets than last year and are again on target to have the raffle sell out early."
In addition to the Grand Prize drawing, there will be a bonus drawing for multiple ticket purchasers. The 1st prize for anyone buying more than one ticket is a 2009 Lexus RX400h or $30,000 in cash; the 2nd prize is the winner's choice of one of a series of dream vacations that include airfare or $10,000 cash.
New this year is a special "refer a friend" drawing where everyone who buys a ticket and causes a friend or associate to buy one, is entered along with their friend in this drawing and a chance to win several prizes, including the first prize of $15,000.
Ocean Institute Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Bentley Cavazzi, noted, "There are many chances to win in our 2008 Laguna Beach Million Dollar Home Raffle, but the real winners are the thousands of school kids who participate in Ocean Institute programs each year."
