Sand Dollar Guild Presents its 5th Annual Chopper Drop

DANA POINT, CA, July 21, 2008 - The Ocean Institute's Sand Dollar Guild will present its 5th annual Chopper Drop for Education on Sunday, September 28, 4 p.m. at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa. Friends of the Institute support the Institute's many educational programs by purchasing a golf ball for $15, which is one of 5,000 dropped by helicopter on a golf course putting green. Each golf ball is labeled with the purchaser's ticket number; the three closest to the hole win a prize:

Grand prize: Trip for 2 to Fiji, including airfare
2nd prize: Sunset cruise onboard the tall ship Spirit of Dana Point for 30 guests
3rd prize: $1,000 cash
